BCI LEADS IMPORTANT CONSERVATION PROJECTS THROUGH APPLIED RESEARCH WITH CLEAR, ACHIEVABLE OUTCOMES, WHILE EMPOWERING AND INVOLVING LOCAL PARTNERS IN ORDER TO DEVELOP CAPACITY FOR SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION OF BATS IN TARGETED REGIONS. BCI USES SCIENCE-LED AND RESEARCH-BASED CONSERVATION TO IDENTIFY AND REDUCE GLOBAL THREATS TO BATS, PROACTIVELY PROTECT KEY HABITATS ON WHICH BATS DEPEND, AND GUIDE MANAGEMENT DECISIONS THAT SUPPORT SUSTAINING BAT POPULATIONS. BCI WORKS WORLDWIDE WITH LOCAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL, AND MULTINATIONAL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERS TO RESPOND RAPIDLY AND EFFECTIVELY TO BAT CONSERVATION CRISES, PREVENTING THE EXTINCTION OF THREATENED BATS AND THE EXTIRPATION OF GLOBALLY SIGNIFICANT BAT POPULATIONS.
