WE USE BOOKS AS TOOLS TO IMMERSE AT-RISK AND AVID READERS IN AN ENGAGING RECREATION OF THEIR FAVORITE BOOKS, FOSTERING LITERACY, CREATIVE PLAY, AND COOPERATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING
OUR GOAL WITH CAMP HALF-BLOOD & CAMP VICTORY IS TO BRING BOOKS TO LIFE IN LITERARY ADVENTURE SUMMER CAMPS FOR CHILDREN. IN THIS SETTING, WE AIM TO INCREASE READERSHIP, EXPLORE DEEPER COMPREHENSION, AND ENCOURAGE LEADERSHIP. HUNDREDS OF CAMPERS ARE INTRODUCED AND GUIDED THROUGH WEEK LONG CAMPS RECREATING ASPECTS AND ADVENTURES IN THEIR FAVORITE BOOKS.
THE GOAL OF THE IN-SCHOOL LITERACY PROGRAM IS TO ENCOURAGE READERSHIP AND PROMOTE LEADERSHIP IN KIDS BY INTRODUCING AND RECREATING PASSAGES IN BOOKS USING ACTORS FOR CHILDREN IN A SCHOOL SETTING. EACH PROGRAM IS 12 WEEKS LONG.
