Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE CDISC MISSION IS TO DEVELOP AND SUPPORT GLOBAL, PLATFORM-INDEPENDENT DATA STANDARDS THAT ENABLE INFORMATION SYSTEM INTEROPERABILITY TO IMPROVE MEDICAL RESEARCH AND RELATED AREAS OF HEALTHCARE.
TECHNICAL - TO DATE, CDISC HAS DEVELOPED THERAPEUTIC AREA STANDARDS FOR OVER 30 DISEASES. IN 2019, CDISC PUBLISHED NEW USER GUIDES FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS: HIV, CLOSTRIDIUM DIFFICILE, LUNG CANCER, AND TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE. THE CDISC LIBRARY API V2.0 WAS RELEASED IN EARLY 2019 AND IS CURRENTLY BEING ACCESSED BY OVER 150 MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. THE API FACILITATES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CDISC STANDARDS AND FURTHER AUTOMATES CLINICAL RESEARCH PROCESS. ADDITIONALLY, A NEW LIBRARY USER INTERFACE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED WHICH ALLOWS FOR INTERACTIVE BROWSING AND DOWNLOADING OF CDISC METADATA.
EDUCATION - CDISC EDUCATION RECEIVED ACCREDITATION FROM THEINTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION AND TRAINING (IACET)IN SEPTEMBER 2017. CDISC EDUCATION IS NOW THE ONLY IACET-ACCREDITEDTRAINING ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD AUTHORIZED TO TEACH CDISC STANDARDS.IN 2019, CDISC EDUCATION COMPLETED A FULL MIGRATION OF OUR ONLINE TRAININGS TO A NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS). ALL 70+ ONLINE COURSES WERE UPDATED WITH NEW VISUALS AND INTERACTIVE TOOLS AS A PART OF THE MIGRATION. FIVE NEW ONLINE COURSES AND TWO NEW JAPANESE COURSE TRANSLATIONS WERE PUBLISHED IN 2019. OVER 900 USERS HAVE CREATED ACCOUNTS SINCE THE NEW LMS WAS ACTIVATED IN DECEMBER OF 2018, WHICH IS NOW USED TO REGISTER CLASSROOM COURSE ATTENDEES AS WELL. IN 2019 ALONE, OVER 1,800 LEARNERS HAVE ATTENDED 165 CLASSROOM TRAININGS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA, EUROPE AND ASIA
EVENTS - CDISC HOSTED FOUR GLOBAL CONFERENCES IN 2019, WHICH WERE HELDIN EUROPE, JAPAN, CHINA AND THE UNITED STATES. CDISC ALSO ORGANIZED AWORKING GROUP MEETING TO FOSTER FACE-TO-FACE COLLABORATION BETWEENSTAFF AND VOLUNTEERS.
