"GET CREATIVE" ENRICHMENT CLUBS, THE ENTRY POINT INTO OUR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ECOSYSTEM, ARE ANCHORED IN SIX MAJORITY MINORITY HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT CENTRAL TEXAS SERVING 100+ STUDENTS. 90% OF THE STUDENTS THAT PARTICIPATED IN E4 YOUTH'S ENRICHMENT CLUBS DEVELOPED DIGITAL PORTFOLIOS THAT CAN HELP THEM EARN JOB SHADOW, INTERNSHIPS AND CAREER MAPPING OPPORTUNITIES WITH E4 YOUTH AND OUR PARTNERS.

CREATIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY (CLA) CURRENTLY PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL LEVEL TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT FOR 50 COLLEGE-AGED YOUTH OF COLOR ACROSS CENTRAL TEXAS AS WELL AS CURRICULUM AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR SISTER NON-PROFITS. CLA MEMBERS WORK WITH E4 YOUTH STAFF AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS TO BUILD DIGITIAL PORTFOLIOS AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS. AS THEY GAIN CAPACITY, THEY EARN EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THREE PATHWAYS: 1) CREATIVE MENTORS THAT RUN OUR HIGH SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLUBS (2) DIGITAL DOCENTS THAT HELP LEAD THE AUSTIN DIGITAL HERITAGE PROJECT AND (3) JOB SHADOWING, INTERNSHIPS, AND EMPLOYMENT WITH OUR INDUSTRY AND NONPROFIT PARTNERS. IN THE COMING YEAR, OUR GOAL IS TO EXPAND THE CLA TO SERVE 200 COLLEGE-AGED YOUTH NATIONWIDE.

AUSTIN'S DIGITAL HERITAGE PROJECT + E4 VIRTUAL ARCHIVE (E4VA) LEVERAGES E4 YOUTH'S IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING CURRICULUM PRACTICES TO PROMOTE DIGITAL AND CULTURAL LITERACY. CLA MEMBERS WORK WITH INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS IN IMMERSIVE MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY TO COLLECT AND CURATE ORAL HISTORIES OF AUSTIN'S OLDER RESIDENTS OF COLOR INTO THE E4 VIRTUAL ARCHIVE (E4VA, PRONOUNCED "EVA"). CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT, EV4A IS A SEARCHABLE MAPS-BASED WEB PORTAL THAT ALLOWS USERS TO CLICK ON HIGHLIGHTED AREAS AND ACCESS CURANTED IMMERSIVE ORAL HISTORIES OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT HAVE LIVED AND WORKED IN THOSE AREAS. THIS YEAR, THE CLA WILL EXPAND ITS REACH TO THOUSANDS OF CENTRAL TEXAS AREA YOUTH AS THEY PROVIDE ONGOING CURRICULUM, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SUPPORT TO AUSTIN SISTER NONPROFITS LATINITAS, CON MI MADRE AND CREATIVE ACTION.
