TLP works to increase public support for -- and identify and activate supporters of -- non-punitive, non-coercive policies relating to marijuana and sex-work laws and regulations. STATE LOBBYING GENERALLY (sex work): Through grant making, TLP supported efforts to change prostitution laws in various states, endeavored to change state-level laws in various states.
CONFERENCES and COALITION BUILDING (sex work): TLP staffers attended and spoke at conferences; reached out to potential allies outside of conference settings; and strengthened relationships with existing allies with the purpose of building a stronger national coalition supporting the decriminalization of consensual adult prostitution. Specifically, TLP participated in conferences hosted by the American Public Health Association, Freedom Network, Law and Society Association, National Conference of State Legislatures, and Woodhull Freedom Foundation.
