THE MEALS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES HELP PREVENT MALNUTRITION AND FEELINGS OF ISOLATION AND ARE PROVIDED TO THE ELDERLY WITHOUT COST TO THE PARTICIPANTS.COUNTRY WHEELS - PROVIDED AND DELIVERED 24,563 MEALS TO PERSONS IN RURAL AREAS WHERE VOLUNTEERS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO DELIVER MEALS.MEALS FOR KIDS - PREPARED AND DELIVERED 9,000 SNACKS FOR NUTRITIONALLY AT RISK CHILDREN.
HOME REPAIR - VOLUNTEERS MADE 339 MAJOR HOME REPAIR PROJECTS HANDY WHEELS - VOLUNTEERS MADE 594 MINOR HOME REPAIRS TO IMPROVE SAFETY.
CLIENT ASSISTANCE - PROVIDED DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CLIENTS FOR RENT, UTILITY, AND OTHER PAYMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,274.PALS PROGRAM - (PETS ASSISTING THE LIVES OF SENIORS). PROVIDED FREE PET FOOD AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS ASSISTANCE FOR 492 PETS TO ENABLE CLIENTS TO KEEP THEIR PETS IN THEIR HOME TO REDUCE DEPRESSION AND ISOLATION FOR THE HOMEBOUND AND ELDERLY.GROCERIES TO GO - 1,486 SHOPPING TRIPS WERE MADE BY VOLUNTEERS FOR HOMEBOUND PERSONS.HOPE - PROVIDED 101,750 POUNDS OF GROCERIES FOR PERSONS IN NEED OF ADDTIONAL FOOD.RESPITE - PROVIDED A SAFE ENVIROMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER'S AND OTHER TYPES OF DEMENTIA. THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDED CAREGIVERS FREE TIME. 4,228 HOURS OF CARE PROVIDED.
