THE DIVERSITY & INCLUSION PROGRAM IS A MULTI-STAGE, EXTENDED PROGRAM DESIGNED TO MOVE NONPROFIT BOARDS FROM ASSESSMENT TO PLACEMENT. THE EQUITY CHAIR WORKSHOP IS DESIGNED TO PREPARE, SUPPORT AND ELEVATE NEW AND EXPERIENCED BOARD MEMBERS OF COLOR, AND ALLIES, FOR THEIR ROLE AS GOVERNING MEMBERS ON NONPROFIT BOARDS. THIS TRAINING IS FOCUSED ON DISRUPTING BOARD NORMS AND LEARNING HOW TO NAVIGATE MAINSTREAM NONPROFITS THROUGH A CULTURAL CONSCIOUS PERSPECTIVE. MAIN TOPICS INCLUDE: CULTURALLY RELEVANT LEADERSHIP, SPEAKING YOUR TRUTH, CONFRONTING TOKENISM, AMONG OTHERS. AT THE END OF THIS WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO BETTER SERVE ON BOARDS AND CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION AS NEW PHILANTHROPISTS. IN 2020, 85% OF THE WORKSHOPS WERE SOLD OUT, AND TNP HAS EXPERIENCED THE HIGHEST REVENUE EARNINGS UP TO DATE FOR THIS WORKSHOP. IN ALL, TNP HAS HOSTED 11 EQUITY CHAIR WORKSHOPS AND HAS HAD OVER 170 PARTICIPANTS.
