Organizations Filed Purposes:
The organization supports the education of 2,800 students who live in rural poverty in northwest Cambodia.
Enrichment programs include English, Technology, Events, Libraries, Sports, Music, and Arts. We taught 812 students English during the year and supported the teaching staff. We taught 309 students computer skills as a central component of continuing education. We took students on field trips and held back to school events. We served 908 students through the library by purchasing books and games and training and support for librarians. We supported sport teams with training and equipment. Approximately 306 students participated in music and art workshops.
Secondary School Scholarships were provided to 72 students. Students who leave primary school at grade 6 and want to continue to secondary school can apply for scholarships for attending secondary school. University and Vocational Training Scholarships were provided to 71 students. They are eligible to apply once they have finished secondary school and wish to continue into further education or training.
The Food & Wellness Program provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks to students. During the year, 371 students were served breakfast 6 days per week. Clean water systems are provided at rural schools to minimize the incidence of water borne diseases. Hygiene is taught at rural locations and cleaning materials are provided. First aide supplies are provided to trained school nurses. Transport to hospital is provided to students who are critically ill. This program helps serve 1,173 students.
