Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote research, discussion and analysis of human resources issues arising from municipal human resources and civil service systems, State and National laws, court decisions, and administrative regulations promulgated by State and Federal agencies, and to promote changes in human resources management issues or laws which benefit the profession, Texas municipalities and municipal employees.
To promote excellence in personnel and human resource administration in Texas municipalities.
Annual meeting is held to inform and educate members about current human resource and personnel issues that affect municipal employees.
Various workshops and seminars are held, such as Civil Service Workshop, Employment Law Workshop, Nuts and Bolts Workshop, and TXPELRA Workshop. These workshops provide continuing education and current trends/information for professional municipal human resource directors.
Newsletters and a Directory are printed to provide members with current human resource information and access to other municipal human resource members.
