Children's educational programs are conducted throughout the year. The Organization teaches children about conservation and preservation of the environment and the ecosystems and plant life in the Cibolo Creek watershed area in Kendall County and Northern Bexar County. During 2019, more than 14,000 children participated in educational programs such as Outdoor Classroom, Family Art and Nature Festivals and Nature Camps.
Adult education programs which provide presentations, lectures and workshops on conservation and preservation matters, such as harvesting rainfall runoff, growing native plans for conservation purposes, practices to protect the Cibolo Creek watershed and learning to identify and monitor area wildlife and birds.
The Nature School is an immersive, high quality and research-based preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old. Students spend the mauority of their day in a natural setting engaged in experiential learning, including outdoor play and group exploration such as hiking the Nature Center's woodlands, tall-grass paririe, Cibolo Creek and wetlands, as well as building forts, dramatic play, digging, gardening and other hands-on experiences with the natural world in which they live.
