FINANCIAL AND MATERIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMHILL COUNTRY FAMILY SERVICES (HCFS) PROVIDES EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO KENDALL COUNTY RESIDENTS. CLIENTS GO THROUGH AN EXTENSIVE INTAKE PROCESS WITH AN EVALUATION OF FAMILY FINANCES, TO INCLUDE ALL HOUSEHOLD INCOME AND EXPENSES TO DETERMINE MONTHLY NEEDS AND SPENDING. BASED ON THE EVALUATION, HCFS STAFF DECIDE ON FINANCIAL SUPPORT WHICH CAN INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH RENT, UTILITIES, MEDICAL OR GENERAL EXPENSES SUCH AS CAR REPAIRS. IN 2019, HILL COUNTRY FAMILY SERVICES PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR 295 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS. HCFS ALSO SUPPORTS CLIENTS WITH SPECIAL SERVICES SEASONALLY WHICH MAY INCLUDE PROVIDING HEATERS, FANS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, THANKSGIVING MEALS AND CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO CLIENTS IN NEED.
