THE PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE EXCLUSIVELY NON-PROFIT, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL, WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1954, OR THE CORRESPONDING PROVISION OF ANY FUTURE UNITED STATES INTERNAL REVENUE LAW.THE OBJECT, BEING NON-POLITICAL, NON-SECTARIAN, NON-FEDERATED AND NON-PROFIT SHARING, IS TO PROVIDED MUTUAL KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND FRIENFSHIP AMONG GHE WOMEN OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE AND TO FOSTER MOVEMENTS LEADING TO A HIGHER CIVILATION, ESPECIALLY THOSE AFFECTING THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF THSES COUNTRIES.
Pan American Round Table 1 shall give a scholarship to one or more graduating seniors from a Brownsville High School. These seniors must be U.S. citizens and reside in Brownsville within the boundaries of the Brownsville Independent School District. They must be in the top 10% of their graduating class, have either a SAT or ACT scores and must have been accepted by a college or university in Texas.
Awarded five $1,500.00 scholarships to local students.
