Organizations Filed Purposes:
BUTW sends support to impoverished Christians in the Philippines. We assist with medical aid, funeral expenses, housing, balakbayan boxes (care packages of food & clothing), Bibles, song books, and other basic needs. We also support gospel preachers whose churches cannot support them and their families. We are concerned individuals, seeking to organize our efforts so that other concerned individuals join us in relieving impoverished Christians in foreign countries where poverty is most prevalent.
We received $93,579 from donators who requested that we send financial support to Christians in the Philippines who were affected by five (5) major earthquakes that occurred in October - December of 2019. BUTW used all of this amount to assist with temporary shelters for those who lost everything and were forced to relocate to evacuation centers which consisted of nothing more that a small area of land. Some homes we were able to repair. We also sent support for building new homes. Each new home cost approximately $1,500 on average. This amount does not include fees that were approved by donors to be used to send these financial distributions.
BUTW received $48,336 from donators who requested that we send financial support to assist evangelists with families for the churches of Christ whose impoverished churches do not have funds to support them. These evangelist do not receive financial support from any person(s) or any organization(s). These evangelists have been vetted through a network of individuals in the Philippines and USA in whom BUTW has put its trust. This amount does not include fees that were approved by donors to be used to send these financial distributions.
BUTW received $46,137 from donators who requested that we send financial support to assist Christians and children with medical needs such as surgeries,medicines, doctor visits, and other medical needs. This amount does not include fees that were approved by donors to be used to send these financial distributions.
