Organizations Filed Purposes:
Promote scientific agricultural education and progress through exhibitions of agricultural products and those pertaining to farming, homemaking, business and industry. It will provide youth with educational experiences, public speaking events, and scholarship opportunities.
Hosting of the annual Van Zandt County Fair in April. The fair offers a youth livestock and ag mechanics show, an open beef cattle & gilt show, an arts & crafts show, youth speaking events, a spelling bee, a pageant, and horticultural events for youth and adults. A rodeo and carnival is also hosted in conjuction with the annual fair.
Provide scholarships to youth exhibitors that excel in agricultural education. Six scholarships were awarded in 2019.
