TCPMFS provides individuals and families with fundamental skills and resources needed to attain a better quality of life
Our Mental Health Services program includes; individual, family, marriage, group counseling and our community outreach initiative. Our counselors help guide clients through a variety of challenges by; identifying goals and potential solutions to problems causing stress; improving communication and coping skills; strengtening self-esteem; and promoting behavioral change and optimal mental health. We service all genders and ethnicities. Our Community Outreach Program is designed to promote the public resources and all mental health services our organiztion provides. The initiative consists of a mobile unit, podcast and educational workshops. Our community involvement allows us to collaborate with other organizations in our field.
We provide basic essentials to individuals and families in need including diapers, wipes, food and non-food items. We also provide monetary donations during financial crisis. We help Texas 501 (c) 3 non-profit organizations that also provide aid to people in need including: children, at-risk youth, the homeless, older Americans who are struggling or ill, battered women, the illiterate, the unemployed or under-employed, victims of domestic violence, disaster survivors, etc.
TCPMFS provides Supervised Visitation and Parent Education and Family Stabilization Courses primarily in Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and Kendall Counties. Visitation takes place between the non-custodial parent and his/her child(ren) in the presence of a third party who observes the visit to ensure the child's physical/emotional safety. Parent course is required in some divorce custody cases. It ensures that the accompanying stress of divorce is minimized, the long-term psychological burden is eased, and the whole process is made understandable and manageable for the parents so that children will benefit.
