The Organization is a foundation for Islamic research and education.
Hadith Project: The Hadith Project is an estimated 10-year effort to review the current corpus of Hadith literature in two distinct categories. First is the placement, translation and explanation of hadith narratives which are acceptable and second is critical evaluation of narratives that stand rejected. This work is being done in two languages simultaneously (English and Urdu) and will soon be appearing in monthly journals Ishraq and Renaissance. It will also be published in the form of a book when all the hadiths have been reviewed. Audio visual project - Al-Mawrid is a global organization and has found digital media to be the most efficient and cost-effective means of communicating with audience across the globe. This requires them to depend on the of-the-art equipment and technology in audio, video, and web productions. While they had access to such equipment for some time, it had reached its age of maturity and was in need of dire upgrade. Furthermore, new technology options now available will greatly improve the speed, production quality, and efficiency. The additional staff help is needed to cater to expanding audio-visual production needs for a global audience, and the necessary expertise needed to work with the new equipment.
