Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission is to restore native prairie habitat in Texas, beginning with Colorado and adjacent counties. We educate landowners in how to do this and provide technical field assistance to implement the projects.

Wildlife Habitat Federation provides on the ground restoration, management and generational sustainability of prairie habitat for the conservation of soil, water, air and wildlife.

EDUCATION & PUBLIC OUTREACH: to teach "on-the-ground" habitat restoration and the value of its benefits. Multiple communications with interested parties occurred via phone, website, social media and email. 95 site visits and 26 habitat management plans were initiated and technical guidance will affect approximately 29,730 acres over the next 2-4 years. 14 presentations were given to public and private entities.

ON-THE-GROUND IMPLEMENTATION: Services provided to landowners for restoration of native prairie habitat. On-the-ground restoration activities were performed on 23,720 acres of land, of which 1,670 acres were planted in native habitat, for 51 landowners in 17 Texas counties. 4 landowners received assistance from WHF in applying for government conservation programs.

NATIVE PRAIRIE SEED PROGRAM: Harvesting and processing of local native prairie seeds to increase seed availability to landowners in Texas. Time was invested in locating quality seed sources and hand collecting various local species.
