Develope & Promote Youth Soccer Skills
Host soccer tournaments in which soccer teams from around the country including Texas Lightning teams participate. The tournaments include the Puma Cup and Showcase/Youth Cup tournaments. More than 250 teams were in attendance in 2018/19 which equates to approximately 3500 players participating in these tournaments.
Sponsor fundraising activities through such venues as Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX. These activities provide the opportunity for family members to raise funds to help offset the cost of membership dues to Texas Lightning SC, Inc. These membership payments are included in taxable income for Texas Lightning SC, Inc., a for-profit LLC chartered in the State of Texas. Paid workers required to manage concession booths and coordinate volunteers are paid from a portion of the proceeds. These payments are reported on 1099-Misc by this Organization at the end of each calendar year.
