Oakwell Academy is a private PreK-8th grade school offering a Classical Christian education within a University-Model structure, which utilizes the best of both private school and homeschooling. Children spent 2-3 day (depending on grade level) per week in the central classroom (private school environment) and 2-3 days per week in the home classroom.

Our highest expense was compensating our teachers who train and teach the students and also partner with the students co-teachers in the home classroom. This expense also compensates our administrators who carry out the mission of Oakwell Academy through a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Each teacher is required to create lesson plans to be used in the central classroom and to be continued in the home classroom. The lesson plans are then reviewed and approved by our curriculum administrator.
Our next highest program service expense is providing a facility that is used as our central classroom where students attend anywhere from 2-5 days per week depending on the child's grade level. We are currently renting a facility and this amount covers our cost for renting and using the facility throughout the school year and the summer season.
Our next highest program expense was for our schools curriculum and classroom expenses. Our school purchases various curriculum and materials for all of our grades, PreK-8th grade. Each grade needs various items for each subject being taught. The varying curriculum needed expands and increases with each growing year.
