Organizations Filed Purposes: Student Engineers' Council (SEC) strives to be the representative voice of all engineering students at Texas A&M (TAMU). It works to increase engineering awareness through its programs and events and it fosters the professional advancement of all TAMU engineering students within the college of engineering.

Professional Development of Engineering Students - Student Engineers' Council aims to promote the professional development of the students of the college of engineering by providing them with opportunities to interact with industry and means to fund their education. SEC hosts one of the nation's largest, student-run career fairs in the nation twice a year, with over 300 companies attending the Fall Fair and over 200 companies attending the Spring Fair. Additionally, SEC funds a number of scholarships and seminars to help advance all students within the college of engineering.

Representative Voice of Engineering Students - Student Engineers' Council promotes engineering awareness to both Texas A&M University and the Bryan/College Station area. In addition to conducting a bi-annual survey of student opinion presented to the college administration, SEC also contributes funding to a wide range of engineering-related student organizations on campus. Additionally, SEC promotes its events and represents Texas A&M at a regional and national conference of engineering councils

Promotion of Engineering Awareness - Student Engineers' Council promotes engineering awareness through a number of outreach events both on and off campus. Each semester, SEC hosts a camp exposing high school students to opportunities in engineering. Additionally, SEC holds a regional engineering competition and week-long engineering awareness event on-campus. Further, SEC is involved in a number of philanthropic activities.
