EACH COMPETITION OFFERS LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM AND TEACHES CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE STUDENTS TO THRIVE IN ANY CAREER FIELD. THE SCI://TECH EXPOSITION IS ONE OF THE LARGEST REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIRS IN THE NATION.
STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: EFTAS STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (SIP) OFFERS BRIGHT, MOTIVATED HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS HANDS-ON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR DESIRED CAREER FIELDS. SIP INTERNSHIPS ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE VALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE JUST STARTING TO EXPLORE CAREER OPTIONS. EDUCATION FOR TOMORROW ALLIANCE PARTNERS WITH EMPLOYERS EACH SUMMER TO OFFER EACH STUDENT 80 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO SHAPE THEIR CAREER PATHS.
FUTURE FOCUS: THE FUTURE FOCUS PROGRAM IS A CLASSROOM-BASED CURRICULUM DESIGNED TO PROMOTE POSITIVE DECISION MAKING AMONG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. TRAINED VOLUNTEER PRESENTERS OFFER INTERACTIVE PROGRAMMING TO HELP STUDENTS REALIZE THAT EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT TODAY HAS LASTING IMPACTS ON THEIR OPTIONS LATER IN LIFE. IT IS MEANT TO EMPOWER STUDENTS THAT THEY HAVE CONTROL OVER THEIR DAILY DECISIONS WHICH OVER TIME CAN KEEP THEM ON TRACK FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION AND BEYOND.
