TO SAVE LIVES BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT SERVICES FOR BREAST CANCER TO LOW INCOME, UNINSURED AND UNDER-INSURED INDIVIDUALS.
The Bridge Breast Network (BBN) provided 771 individuals in 15 North Texas counties with navigation and access to breast health services. The average time from an abnormal screening mammogram to a breast cancer diagnosis was 21 days. 35 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed. 77% of the cancers diagnosed were early stage. A total of 55 individuals received breast cancer treatment, post treatment and/or survivorship services. The BBN is able to provide early stage breast cancer treatment for approximately $22,000. BBN provided breast/health education to 2,281 individuals.
