Organizations Filed Purposes: To raise funds for research leading to a cure for pediatric cancer and enrich the lives of teens in the battle.

Research - In partnership with American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the worlds premier oncology organization with over 45,000 members, the Carson Leslie Foundation fully funded a Young Investigator Award in medulloblastoma, Cerebrospinal fluid derived circulating tumor DNA as an actionable biomarker in medulloblastoma. Additionally, CLF invested $100,000 and directed an additional $250,000 into Stingray Therapeutics, for a promising novel immune-therapy specific for medulloblastoma.

Encouragement and support - We outclassed ourselves with our signature teen outing because of an irreplaceable partnership with the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones invited CLF to bring a limousine full of teen cancer patients to a Dallas Cowboys Game first class style! We were greeted at the entrance by a private escort who safely delivered us to a private suite on the field. We enjoyed refreshments, then were escorted to the sidelines for team warm-ups. Once safely back in the suite, we dined in the exclusive 5-Star buffet complete with caviar, crab claws, prime rib, and every type of dessert imaginable. We were invited by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to bring our signature teen program to the DSO Christmas Show. We loaded a limo full of patients all dressed up for the holidays and were greeted by a private escort to dine in the 5-Star restaurant and enjoy extraordinary seats for an unforgettable Christmas show.We expanded our wildly popular signature Under Armour Backpack Program for teen cancer patients into all the major hospitals throughout Texas.

Awareness - We multiply every dollar we spend by having volunteers engage with the larger community to maximize our impact. Accordingly, no significant costs were incurred for this program during 2019.Together, with the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), a $6 billion 20-year initiative, the largest state research investment in the history of the United States and the second largest cancer research and prevention program in the world, we founded and strategically planned Researchers RoundUp (RR). We invited the best minds in pediatric brain cancer research to RR with one bold goal to chart ways forward for increasing collaboration. Presenters and attendees of RR included every research institution from around the state to discuss targeted therapies, immunotherapy, the opportunities presented through CPRIT-funded pediatric core facilities, and how best to address survivorship. Researchers RoundUp took place January 12, 2020 on the 10-year anniversary of Carsons death. Planning for RR was accomplished in 2019.We chaired the annual GOLDEN TOAST, which we founded, in Washington DC during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 2019's was our largest event, in an outdoor rooftop venue overlooking the White House where we gathered over 200 childhood cancer survivors, advocates, congressional members, and investigators and celebrated 10 years of success in benefiting the overall state of childhood cancer.
