Organizations Filed Purposes: To nourish our community's low-income families and individuals by providing nutritious food and supportive education.

CCS Pantry: Due to COVID-19, Crossroads' Drive-Through Pantry distributed 2,786,158 pounds of food in 2020, a large increase over the 920,905 pounds distributed in 2019. The 2020 quantity of groceries distributed provided our clients 2,321,793 meals and saved them $5,573,316 at the grocery store. * Despite the challenges of COVID-19, we were able to recruit participants in and completed the large majority of our SNAP-AC study by the end of 2020. Our SNAP-AC project was funded in 2019 by W. W. Caruth, Jr. Fund of Communities Foundation of Texas, and we have been collaborating with UT Southwestern, University of Dallas, Sharing Life and North Texas Food Bank. It is already clear our clients enjoy and benefit from monthly pantry appointments, and we will start implementing monthly appointments as much as possible with all our clients.

CCS Food Distribution Network: From our home in southern Dallas, we are uniquely poised to increase access to nutritious food even more southward to include the other counties in our service area - Ellis and Navarro. We do this through our distribution network, which grew from 97 Partner Agencies and Community Distribution Partners (CDPs) in 2019 to 41 Partner Agencies and 148 active CDPs in 2020. *Crossroads began work in 2020 on a large national, multi-year grant-The BUILD Health Challenge- awarded during Q4 of 2019. As the lead on this grant, Crossroads is partnering with Parkland Health & Hospital System, Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS), UT Southwestern and University of Dallas to improve health equity and outcomes in southern Dallas. Our long-term goal is to maintain our partnerships beyond the length of the 2.5-year grant period, expand co-located services to all Crossroads CDP sites and provide a new model for better maintaining the health of low-income people.

CCS Hub: Crossroads hosts the Kroger Reclamation Program in our 72,000 square foot warehouse or Hub. On average each week, we receive 24 pallets of products from 112 Kroger grocery stores. In 2020, our Hub received 10.6 million pounds of food. In 2019, CCS served 32,773 people and distributed 5.5 million pounds of food. Due to COVID-19, in 2020, we distributed ~11.8 million pounds of food and served ~84,000 people (33,600 of whom were children). This was enough food to prepare 9.8 million meals and save our client $23,600,000 at the grocery store.
