OUR GOAL IS TO HELP LOCAL SITES ACHIEVE NATIONAL QUALITY STANDARDS, AS ONLY HIGH QUALITY AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS CHANGE STUDENT LIVES. CHILDREN WHO ATTEND AVERAGE OR LOW QUALITY PROGRAMS SHOW NO DIFFERENCE IN ACADEMIC, SOCIAL OR EMOTIONAL OUTCOMES THAN CHILDREN WHO ARE UNSUPERVISED AFTERSCHOOL. TODAY, DAS SUPPORTS 150 FREE AFTERSCHOOL SITES SERVING MORE THAN 12,000 K-12TH GRADE STUDENTS IN DALLAS COUNTY. OUR CLIENTS RANGE FROM NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THE YMCA TO SCHOOL BASED PROGRAMS LIKE BIG THOUGHT AND DALLAS PARKS & RECREATION, TO LOCAL PROGRAMS SUCH AS Readers 2 Leaders AND JUBILEE PARK.
