THE PURPOSE OF THE DALLAS SYMPHONY FOUNDATION IS TO MANAGE AND INVEST AN ENDOWMENT FUND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE DALLAS SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION (75-0705442), AND TO MAKE ANNUAL DISTRIBUTIONS TO THE DALLAS SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION FROM THIS ENDOWMENT FUND. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING MAY 31, 2019, THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED $6,992,757 (normal distribution) TO THE ASSOCIATION. In addition, a special distribution in the amount of $3,500,000 to the Association was approved on February 14, 2019 by the Foundation Board and March 5, 2019 by the Association Board. The purpose of this special distribution was to help to defray the significant costs associated with the termination of the Association's staff defined benefit pension plan.
THE DALLAS SYMPHONY FOUNDATION IS OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT for the benefit of, and to further the purposes of the Dallas Symphony Association
The purpose of the Dallas Symphony Foundation is to manage and invest an endowment fund for the benefit of the Dallas Symphony Association (75-0705442), and to make annual distributions to the Dallas Symphony Association from this endowment fund. During the fiscal year ending May 31, 2019, the Foundation distributed $10,492,757 to the Association. See Schedule I for more details of the regular distribution and the special distribution.
