The Downtown Security Directors Association provides information sharing, education, and networking between the members and various levels of law enforcement including local, state, and federal.
Another $2,000 was given to the family of Brent Thompson, the DART officer killed in the July 7th shooting.
The DSDA donated $2,000 to the ATO, Assist The Officer Foundation, which provides assistance to law enforcement offices and their families, after the downtown shooting. The need arises when an officer is injured and unable to work or when an officer is killed.
