The International Society of Bassists was founded by the world-renowned virtuoso Gary Karr in 1967. With nearly 2,500 members in over 40 countries, the ISB is dedicated to inspiring public interest, raising performance standards, and providing an organization for those who teach, study, play, repair, build, research and enjoy the double bass.
