THE MUSEUM PROVIDES MORE THAN 40 HANDS-ON, PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN IN GRADES PRE-K TO 12 THAT SUPPORT THE TEXAS ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (TEKS) STANDARDS. IN ADDITION, THE MUSEUM PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS. TO ENSURE ACCESSIBILITY TO PEROT MUSEUM PROGRAMS, PARTICULARLY STUDENTS WHO ARE IN AT-RISK NEIGHBORHOODS, THE MUSEUM PROVIDES FINANCIAL AID WITH FUNDS CONTRIBUTED BY INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS FOR THIS PURPOSE. THE MUSEUM PROVIDES PROGRAMS BOTH ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE TO THE NORTH TEXAS COMMUNITY. OUR PUBLIC PROGRAM OFFERINGS INCLUDE SCIENCE CAMPS, SLEEPOVERS, SCOUTING ADVENTURES, ADULT PROGRAMS, SCIENCE-THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND WEEKEND ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHICH APPEAL TO AUDIENCES OF ALL AGES, ETHNICITY AND ECONOMIC MEANS.
