Phoenix Houses of Texas provides drug and alcohol prevention education, residential addiction treatment, and outpatient counseling in order to heal individuals, families and communities challenged by substance use disorders and related mental health conditions.
Residential Treatment Services - Residential treatment of various durations at Phoenix House provides a route to recovery through individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and vocational training. These programs draw on research-proven practices to address such specific client needs as anger management and post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition to individual, group and family counseling, residential programs offer life skill training along with education and job training to help residents prepare for self-sufficient, drug-free lives. Residential treatment services are costs associated with providing direct residential care and treatment to clients totaling approximately 3,800 residential admissions.
Prevention and Education Services - Phoenix House of Texas conducst a wide array of prevention and education programs ranging from outreach to intervention. Our school-based programs work with parents and faculty as well as students, providing information, focusing on safety and decision-making and enabling young people to make positive and independent choices about drugs and alcohol. Our community prevention and education efforts provide programming in broad range of settings, including homeless shelters, housing projects, and food pantries.
Ambulatory Services - Both intensive and standard outpatient programs at Phoenix House combine case management with substance abuse treatment that includes individual, group, and family counseling; relapse prevention, and research-proven practices that address such specific clients needs as anger management, post-traumatic stress disorder, and life skills training. Outpatient programs may also offer educational and vocational guidance and job placement. Ambulatory treatment services are costs associated with providing treatment on an outpatient basis to approximately 600 clients.
