Project Transformations mission is to transform communities by engaging children, college-age young adults, and churches in purposeful relationships. We envision a world that is rooted in love, pursues the equity of all people, and amplifies Gods call on every life.
Project Transformation National was founded to strengthen and replicate Project Transformations model of ministry in new places. It works through local chapters that are independent non-profit organizations.
At Project Transformation, 3 groups children, college-age young adults, and churches, build relationships with one another. When COVID-19 hit in the spring of FY20 the power of relationships became evident in our response. As a national network we listened to families impacted by the pandemic and several needs emerged, including food insecurity, insufficient access to books for summer reading, and a lack of opportunities for social-emotional skills. Through affiliated chapters in Central Texas, Indiana, North Texas, Oklahoma, South Texas Rio, Tennessee, North Georgia and Washington DC 3,965 children and youth received food, educational supplies, and virtual summer camp 69,570 meals and food supplies were provided to children and families and 1,298 volunteers distributed meals and provided virtual reading support for children. 90 of parents agreed their children benefitted from summer reading activities.
During FY20 Project Transformation National completed a comprehensive, five-month strategic assessment and developed a strategic plan to support the network of chapters that will strengthen our impact through capacity building investments over the coming years.
