Organizations Filed Purposes:
Project Transformations program services provide community-oriented, safe and caring summer and after-school programs for children and youth, and offer leadership training, career exposure, and ministry exploration opportunities for young adults through summer and year-round services internships.
Project Transformation engages young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry by building life-impacting relationships, serving children and families, and connecting churches to underserved communities.
During the 2018-19 fiscal year we hired 121 college aged young adults PTNT Corps Members who served children at 11 site locations, ten in Dallas County and one in Grayson County. The After-School program served 152 elementary-aged students in five low-income communities of Dallas. Of the children who regularly attended 99 were promoted to the next grade level and 92 increased or maintained their literacy skills as assessed by our diagnostic tool. The Summer program served 593 elementary students Grades 1-5 and 322 middle school youth Grades 6-9. Pre- and post- summer reading assessments indicate that 96 and 98 of elementary and middle-school aged participants improved or maintained their reading level, respectively. More than 900 community volunteers committed to reading with our students every morning with additional literacy instruction in the afternoon by our PTNT Corps members.
