Leadership Dallas (LD) Class of 2019 partnered with Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center of Dallas (MLK CC) to design, build and activate a refrigerated produce stand that Quadrupled the distribution and delivery of fresh produce in South Dallas/Fair Park. To receive, store and distribute more fresh food and vegetables in the region, the MLK CC needed a refrigerated produce stand. The funds raised offset the costs of the architectural design, construction materials and professional services needed for this permanent structure. Additionally, LD19 volunteered time and built the physical structure on-site at the MLK CC. LD19 officially opened the refrigerated produce stand, built awareness and celebrated with the community on "Food for All, Good for All" day in Spring 2019. Working side-by-side with community volunteers, improved and enlarged the existing Freedom Garden on-site at the MLK CC, planted a completely new grid of fresh fruits and vegetables, coordinated with community partners to offer health-based food preparation education and recipes, installed a mural designed by a local artist, and invited residents and other neighborhood serving nonprofits to join in the fun.

Quality of Life Foundation provided scholarships for the Leadership Dallas Class. The Leadership Dallas Class is a Leadership Development Class run by the Dallas Regional Chambers Leadership Program.

Quality of Life Foundation for Metropolitan Dallas supported various educational and research efforts for numerous programs which benefited the region, including surveys of mobility challenges in economically-distressed areas and career technical education.
