As a Bible-based, Christian organization, The Reformation Project's mission is to advance LGBTQ inclusion in the church. Our vision is of a global church that honors Scripture and fully affirms LGBTQ people.
In 2020 our accomplishments included: - In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Reformation Project made our core programming available online throughout the year. In the spring, we trained LGBTQ-affirming Christians from around the world to become more effective and informed advocates for LGBTQ inclusion in the non-affirming church through our Leadership Development Cohort.- In the summer, we reached over a million people with our daily social media campaign communicating the biblical case for LGBTQ inclusion. In the fall, we welcomed 150 Christian parents of LGBTQ children to our Parents in Process program, helping them reconcile their love for God with their love for their children. We also partnered with pastors representing thousands of members of non-affirming churches through our Pastors in Process program. Pastors in Process supports pastors of non-affirming churches who want to move the conversation on LGBTQ inclusion forward in their congregations.- All of our work is grounded in our love for God, our love for the Bible, and our love for the church. Through our programming, we strive to help Christians and churches become LGBTQ-affirming in ways that strengthen their commitment to the authority of the Bible and to orthodox Christian theology. Above all, we are ultimately driven by our belief in the truth of Christianity and our passion to help the church spread the good news of Jesuss life, death, and resurrection.
