Vision to support East Africa, specifically Burundi, to serve the poor and needy through water wells and development support, especially in partnership with churches in the region. Burundi was the second lowest per capita GDP in 2017, according to the World Bank. Political and ethnic conflict has had a negative impact on the social and economic development in the region. Think East Africa is working to provide the basic need of water as efficiently as possible to the people of Burundi. Our mission is to see everyone in Burundi have access to clean water by 2028. In 2017, we completed construction, training and maintenance of 65 water systems and rehabilitated 9 systems. Think East Africa has a functioning maintenance program that provides training, parts and support to sustain new and previously constructed wells. At the end of 2017, Think East Africa was supporting 185 wells.In addition to our core work; grants were provided to support African Revival Ministries minisitries in the region along with other localized grants.
