THE FOOD CO-OPS SERVED 150+ INDIVIDUALS PER WEEK WITH HOUSEHOLD ITEMS & OVER 57,500 LBS OF FRESH PRODUCE. ESPERANZA NUEVA IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES HELPED DOZENS OF NEIGHBORS UNDERSTAND LAWS AND NAVIGATE THE IMMIGRATION SYSTEM. LAUNCHED YOUTH AND COMMUNITY PROCESSING AND SUPPORT ART SESSIONS. CONNECTED YOUTH AND FAMILIES WITH LOCAL CHURCHES. HOSTED A CHRISTMAS STORE FOR DOZENS OF PARENTS OF PARTICIPATING STUDENTS. HOSTED 4 COMMUNITY DINNERS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. HELD SEASONAL EVENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH DOWNTOWN CHURCHES. WORKED WITH LOCAL LEADERS TO STRENGTHEN NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS AND ADVOCATE FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS. PROVIDED SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS, CHAPERONES, AND TRANSPORTATION FOR 56+ STUDENTS TO ATTEND DAY CAMPS, AND A COLLEGE TRIP. ORGANIZED AN UPWARD SOCCER LEAGUE FOR 80 K-8TH GRADE KIDS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ST. CLEMENTS CHURCH & SCHOOL.

INVESTED IN NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERSHIP - 1 COLLEGE STAFF, 3 UTEP WORK STUDY STUDENTS, 4 HIGH SCHOOL INTERNS, AND 4 NEIGHBORHOOD MOMS.
