Organizations Filed Purposes:
The NCHA Charities Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable purposes as a supporting organization to the National Cutting Horse Association; and is organized and operated to encourage, promote and develop the Cutting Horse as a highly unique and exceptional equine athlete. The Foundation shall support and benefit NCHA by maintaining scholarship funds, providing crisis funding, developing educational and animal welfare and research programs, and developing programs designed to honor the legendary people and great horses that have shaped our industry and to preserve and tell the stories of the great horses and horsewomen and horsemen of the past to future generations.
History and Preservation-The History and Preservation committee shall be responsible for acceptance, preservation, documentation and other activities relating to the curatorship of NCHA and the Foundations historic memorabilia and for making such memorabilia available to the public for educational and charitable purposes.
Scholarship-The Scholarship Committee shall provide financial assistance to members of the NCHA/NYCHA. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need and cutting horse involvement, as well as leadership and communication skills.
Education and Promotion of the Sport-The Education Committee shall be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the educational programs and presentations of the Foundation and promotion of the Cutting Horse and the sport of Cutting. Such programs could be Foundation Fund Raising Events, Judging Clinics, Cutting Clinics, Promotional activities at World Equestrian Games and European Championships, and promotion at like equine event through grants.
