The mission of IHC is to reach the fatherless through orphan host programs and through orphan care and support. This is done through matching orphans to host famlies and facilitating the travel.

Orphans ages 6-16 from the Ukraine are selected to stay with a US host family for a 12 week summer or 4 week winter visit. During 2019 37 orphans came for summer visit and 45 came for winter visits. IHC travels to orphanages and interviews the orphans and directors to determine the children that would benefit most from hosting experience. Most orphans have never experienced life with a family. Families are provided photos and biographies of the available children and select the age and gender that would fit best in their family dynamic. IFC faciilitates travel of the orphans to their host families and provides support to host families during the visit and post visit should the family be interested in permanment adoption.
