TMMSN promotes marine mammal conservation through rescue rehab research of wild populations and livedead strandings
Our stranding response program provided service through response to 151 individual stranding events. For live stranded, injured, or out of habitat marine mammals, TMMSN provided rescue and relocation, care, or euthanasia as required. Volunteers donated 4,553 hours to this program. Additionally, as part of the program, important data was co- llected from dead stranded animals for research and to inform natural resource managers for conservation management. TMMSN response to dead strandings included data collection, sample collection for analysis and archive, and necropsy.
