Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide a safe and encouraging environment where creativity or homeless individuals is nurtured through artistic expression that produces a positive spirit and source of pride and income for these individuals through the sale of their artwork.
Provide art studio 3 times per week for homeless and at-risk individuals. Art studio is attended by 80+ different individuals during the year, and is conducted at donated spaces from St. David's Trinity Center (unrelated). All supplies are provided to the individuals and the studio is staffed by a team of volunteers. Due to COVID, the studio classes were suspended starting in March 2020. As an alternative, our volunteers were able to distribute art supplies to our artists for them to be able to continue working on their artwork.
Present annual show & sale of artwork created during the year in art studio. All artist work created during the year, in addition to work remaining from prior years, is displayed and pieces are available for sale over a two-day period.
Present artist work for sale via AFTS website and via short-term pop-up events to allow potential artist earnings beyond the annual show and sale to provide a portal for online donations.
