Organizations Filed Purposes: The American Leadership Forum (ALF) joins and strengthens diverse leaders to better serve the public good.

The American Leadership Forum brings together, in classes, leaders with diverse perspectives so they can build relationships, learn to dialogue and respectfully differ, and work together for the good of our community.

Core Fellows Program: ALF provides monthly educational seminars and an outdoor training program designed to join and strengthen diverse leaders to better serve the public good. This is done through an intense year-long program that fosters learning and trust among experienced leaders from every sector of the community. The result is a unique forum where barriers between people are removed, issues are openly discussed, and solutions emerge that benefit the entire community. More than 770 fellows have participated in this program over 33 years.

ALF provides activities for graduates of the Fellows Programs. These periodic activities include continuing education opportunities and community dialogue designed to further the joining and strengthening of Fellows. Second Friday Breakfasts focus on deep dialogue on important and timely topics in our community and attract an average attendance of 40 ALF Senior Fellows.

Healthcare Fellows Program: ALF provides monthly educational seminars and an outdoor training program designed to join and strengthen diverse leaders representing every perspective found in Houston's education community. The goal is to build relationships with leaders involved in other aspects of healthcare and find new ways to collaborate. More than 480 individuals have participated in our Sector focused programs in Criminal Justice, Education, Healthcare and Community Development and Workforce Development since the initial class in 2009.
