Assistance League of Houston is a chartered chapter of the National Assistance League that provides various forms of assistance, including but not limited to clothing, shoes, financial assistance, food and gifts primarily to children in need in schools and hospitals in the Greater Houston Area.

During the year ended May 31, 2020, 63 students received approximately $73,000 in fincancial assistance.
Operation School Bell is a program in which school uniforms are provided to economically disadvantaged schoolchildren. The objective of this program is to clothe the children making it possible for them to attend school appropriately dressed and boost each childs self-confidence, school attendance, and classroom performance. During the year ended May 31, 2020, 876 children received new school uniforms.
The organization holds a holiday party every December at Texas Childrens Hospital to present gift cards for food, clothing and other items to patients and their families. Families are sponsored by organization members, local businesses and individual donors. In December 2019, 42 patients and their families received more than $16,400 in gift cards through this program.
