The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) presents extraordinary, thought-provoking arts programming and exhibitions to educate and inspire audiences nationally and internationally.
CAMH resources are dedicated to organizing, presenting, and touring exhibitions that showcase some of the most seminal art of today. These exhibitions are documented in publications designed for use by both scholars and the general public. Each exhibition is accompanied by educational and outreach programs that complement the exhibition and make the art on view more accessible to both experienced museum-goers and new audiences. As one of the nations oldest non-collecting museums and one of Houstons first major art institutions, CAMH plays a vital role in shaping the regions cultural community by showcasing work of regional artists and by bringing the works of national and international artists to the city. This past fiscal year, the Museum featured seven exhibitions and continued its Art on the Lawn series. In celebration of its 70th anniversary, CAMH presented an exhibition centered on its archival materials and historic documentation of live arts. The Museum also presented two group exhibitions focused on contemporary issues featuring local, national, and international artists--one concentrated on the impact of mass incarceration and another celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The Museum continued its biennial group exhibition curated by the Museum's Teen Council. In addition, the fiscal year showcased solo exhibitions by Cheryl Donegan, Nicolas Moufarrege, and Steven Evans. On-site attendance for these exhibitions totaled 70,929.

CAMH has expanded its accessibility to include American Sign Language tours, tours in multiple languages, and exhibition information in Spanish and English.
