Providing of guidance and training to help bridge social & economic gaps and break cycles of poverty in a disadvantaged part of West Houston.
We served the community around Nottingham Park through a number of education programs. Our after school homework help and tutoring programs served children from 5 area elementary schools. Our library provided resources for homework assignments. In addition, school supplies, holiday meals, and Christmas gifts were distributed to those in need. 900 kids benefited from this program.
We served the low-income community around Nottingham Park through sports and theatre programs. During the year, we benefited approximately 330 kids with theatre camp and sports teams and clinics in our community.
We partnered with Camp Ozark in Mt. Ida, Arkansas and sent 150 children from our community to their camp.
