Members are provided with networking opportunities to connect with the advertising community and educational programs to support professional development. In June of 2019, AAF-Houston had 214 members.As the only professional advertising association that binds the mutual interests of corporate advertisers, agencies, media companies, suppliers and academia, the AAF is the Unifying Voice for Advertising. Its members share a commitment to make advertising a more positive force in America's economy and culture. They are not only advocates for the rights of advertisers, but they help educate government, policymakers, the news media and the general public on the value that advertising brings to the well-being of the nation. AAF also cultivates the advertising industry's present and future leaders. The AAF is headquartered in Washington, DC with a Western Region office in Los Angeles.
The mission of the American Advertising Federation-Houston is to advance the advertising profession in the greater Houston area by supporting industry recruitment and education; by communicating to the regional business and professional communities, as well as to governmental organizations, the economic and social value of advertising; by fostering improvement of its effectiveness; and by promoting ethical self-regulation.The American Advertising Federation ("AAF") headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the oldest national advertising trade association of 40,000 advertising industry professionals in a national network of 200 local federations in 15 districts across the nation. AAF acts as the "Unifying Voice for Advertising", protects and promotes the well-being of advertising through a unique, nationally coordinated grassroots network of advertisers, brands and agencies, service providers, media companies, local advertising federations and 200 student Chapters with 5,000+ members.
