This includes industry events and public forums, external media products and campaigns, news media engagement, and initiatives to improve the public image of the industry. The IAGC also establishes strong cooperative relationships with relevant international and national trade associations and organizations to create alignment and enhance industry unity and effectiveness in advocacy and communications globally. The IAGC informs members of association activity, events, and industry issues through member communications.
Promoting the Health of the Industry: The IAGC facilitates continuous improvement and promotion of the industrys technological innovation, operations, and commitment to health, safety, security, and environment. The IAGC addresses issues that pose risk to the industrys regulatory and fiscal certainty, and recommends best practices, statements of principles and model contracts to promote environmental protection, safety, and efficiency. The IAGC tracks science with high impact potential and invests in scientific research to ensure critical knowledge gaps regarding the potential environmental effects of exploration activities are filled. The IAGC equips members with scientific information, regulatory compliance resources and public advocacy materials.
