The Natura Bolivia Foundation is dedicated to implementing, and evaluating the impact of conservation and development programs, with a focus on watershed conservation, protected areas, and incentive based conservation in Bolivia. We work hand-in-hand with the Santa Cruz, Bolivia based Fundación Natura Bolivia (www.naturabolivia.org), improving the effectiveness of their interventions, and of other conservation projects around the world.

The Natura Bolivia Foundation assesses the effectiveness of conservation interventions in Latin America, though a program of academic and applied socioeconomic, hydrological, and biophysical research. In 2019 we hired short term consultants, purchased equipment to undertake scientific surveys and made one grant, to Cuencas Sustentables in Bolivia, to implement the evaluation program.
The Natura Bolivia Foundation helps organizations around the world to implement better and more effective incentive-based conservation programs, through a targeted training and capacity building program of training. In 2019 we supported attendance of two people at training events in Bolivia and Colombia.
The Natura Bolivia Foundation provides direct support to selected partner organizations to conserve large landscapes as protected areas, working with local governments and communities. In 2019, we provided grant assistance to Fundacion Natura Bolivia as this organization continued its conservation and development programs in Bolivia in the Chaco and Tucumano cloud forests, the Santa Cruz Valleys, and northern La Paz, and also to Asociacion Corazon del Bosque for a project they implemented in the northern La Paz region.
