Organizations Filed Purposes:
OPIRA was formed from a need for a support Association specific to OPT/ST ORFs and comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility CORFs rehabilitation providers, to assist in monitoring and reporting State and Federal legislative changes that may affect our provider type, and seek business opportunities that may assist us in managing effective and efficient therapy
Opiras primary exempt purpose as a tax-exempt Section 501c6 organization is to act a s a national voice that represents occupational therapy OPT, speech therapy ST and comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility CORF rehabilitation providers in business.
We had a succesful meetings with health and human services for Medicaid Therapy Services to improve access to care. We also had sucessful meetings with the Texas Home Health Association to form an alliance with regards to common interests of Therapy Services to Texas citizens and legislative concerns. We created ORF and CORF awareness of the trade associaion at the July SynerImages Annual Compliance Conference.
