Organizations Filed Purposes: PRH Preservation works to continue the historical character and culture of the Third Ward as it transitions, while accelerating the redevelopment of the neighborhood by raising money to subsidize individual projects.

PRH Preservation, Inc. mission is to maintain and enhance existing buildings in Houston's Northern Third Ward to ensure long-term, safe, and affordable housing for its residents.

PRH Preservation will purchase existing single-family homes in the area, renovate such homes, and rent them to low-income individuals at subsidized, below-market rates. Where necessary, PRH Preservation will develop new affordable housing for Third Ward residents.On February 5, 2018, Project Row Houses ("PRH") conveyed to PRH Preservation one block of land in the Third Ward. PRH had acquired the Webster Block with funding from the Kinder Foundation. The land is described as Block 443 of the City of Houston South Side of Buffalo Bayou, which is surrounded by Webster Avenue, Nagel Street, Hadley Street and Live Oak Street (the Webster Block). The Webster Block also contains vacant land, and PRH Preservation intends to add approximately ten new shotgun-style homes, off-street parking, a shared outdoor activity area and landscape improvements. It is anticipated that the renovation and redevelopment of the Webster Block will serve as a model for future renovation and redevelopment in the Third Ward, both by PRH Preservation and other area organizations. In addition to the renovation and redevelopment of the Webster Block, PRH Preservation intends to pursue the renovation and/or new construction of additional shotgun-style houses to be built in planned clusters similar to the Webster Block. Upon renovation and/or construction, PRH Preservation will lease these homes to low or moderate income residents at below-market rates and operate such properties in a manner similar to the Webster Block homes. It is anticipated that all homes owned by PRH Preservation will, like the Webster Block houses, operate at a below break-even basis and will be subsidized by charitable contributions.
