Organizations Filed Purposes:
Lamar Middle School PTO is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes as defined in Section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended. It should have not affiliation with any state or national organization with similar objectives.
The primary fundraiser for the Lanier Middle School PTO is called the Commitment To Excellenceand includes donations from families with a few matched by employers. There have been a few Business Development - Retail fundraising donations as well. The uniform shop Lanier Gear makes some revenue and pays state sales taxes. There is a parent teacher social in the fall which also contributes to revenues as well as a spring parent social entitled Party With A Purpose
